Flash Builder fails to start

If Flash Builder fails to start (crashes on start), it might be due to a corrupt workspace. To fix it, go to this path:

  • Windows -> C:\Users\ {YOUR USER} \Adobe Flash Builder 4.5\
  • Mac -> {Flash Builder Workspace Directory}

There you will find a hidden directory called .metadat, rename it to something like .metadata.old and flash Builder should start properly.
